Who we are

Kunu is the dream of two cousins, Ian Noah and Adrian Fraser. Both are Sierra Leonean and vegetarian. Ian was born in the UK and now spends a lot of working time in Sierra Leone; Adrian was born in Sierra Leone and now spends a lot of working time in the USA. Ian is a Designer and Media Consultant; Adrian is an Architect and Graphic Designer. The Kunu Compound is managed by ‘Aunty Rose’ Kobbah and her staff.  [more...]

What we do

The two cousins inherited a piece of Sierra Leone from their grandfather and wanted to use it as a platform to share their love of the Culture, heritage and Environment of Sierra Leone. Through Kunu and a series of inter-connected projects involving providing accommodation, tours, events, media publishing, farming, export and community development, this is slowly being achieved. Why we do it

We live on one planet, and we only have one Sierra Leone. We believe we must learn to respect and protect the legacy we have all inherited and which in turn, is also our future. We want to share and enjoy what we have – but in ways that are responsible, sustainable and credible. [more...]

Where we are

Our primary address is also our family home in Gbendembu (see address below). In addition we are also working on plans to develop other ‘Kunu Compounds’ in Sierra Leone, in partnership with local communities. [more...]
